The International Industry-Academia Alliance Conference on Digital Cultural Tourism concluded its activities in Hangzhou, China, from June 30 to July 2, 2025, with broad international participation discussing the future of digital cultural tourism and the promising opportunities brought by artificial intelligence in this vital sector
The distinguished participation of Mr Mohammed Al-Shahri, member of the Supreme Council for Arab-African Economy presented an exemplary model of Saudi citizens and companies on the international stage He professionally represented the council and its members and delivered intelligent insights reflecting his expertise and forward-looking vision
Al-Shahri delivered a presentation titled “The Belt and Road Initiative and Its Impact on Saudi-Chinese Educational Cooperation” highlighting opportunities for integrating education and tourism in light of digital transformations He explained how cross-border initiatives can open broad horizons for education training and tourism in the region earning praise from the audience for his profound and creative approach
Counselor Dr Hani Hassan Abuzaid, President of the Supreme Council for Arab-African Economy, praised Al-Shahri’s participation affirming that it embodies the ambitious spirit of Saudi citizens and underscores the pioneering role of the private sector and council members in supporting education tourism and international cooperation Dr Abuzaid added that the council takes pride in such exemplary models and continues to support expanding academic economic and cultural partnerships with China and the world
The conference also featured a lecture by Dr Abdullah Qasem Al-Hamzi Director of Practical Training at the International Tourism College – Hainan/Arizona State University who addressed artificial intelligence as both a challenge and an opportunity in tourism education The conference concluded with recommendations to enhance research and academic cooperation between China and Arab countries and to strengthen student exchange programs and training in digital skills

The Supreme Council for Arab-African Economy reaffirmed its commitment to supporting such quality participations that highlight the position of Saudi citizens their companies and council members on the global stage reflecting its vision of building sustainable knowledge and economic bridges
